Safety First, Always

Your celebrations matter to us. Follow these mandatory guidelines to ensure a safe, joyful festival.

✅ What You SHOULD Do

  • Outdoor Use Only: Always light crackers in open areas like playgrounds or clear driveways away from buildings.
  • Adult Supervision: Never allow children or minors to handle or light fireworks without continuous adult eyes.
  • Keep Water Handy: Keep a large bucket of water or a garden hose ready nearby in case of unexpected fire or duds.
  • Safe Distance: Back away immediately to a safe distance (at least 5-10 meters) as soon as the fuse is lit.

❌ What You Should NEVER Do

  • Never Re-light Duds: If a cracker fails to ignite, leave it alone for 20 minutes, then soak it completely in water.
  • Never Light in Hand: Never hold crackers, rockets, or bombs in your hand while lighting them. Place them flat on the ground.
  • No Pockets: Never store unlit crackers or matches inside your apparel pockets—friction can set them off.
  • Avoid Flammable Material: Keep fireworks far away from dry grass, thatched roofs, fuel tanks, or parked vehicles.

🗑️ Safe Disposal Protocol

Improper disposal of spent firework hulls is a major cause of fires and injuries post-celebration. Please enforce these steps:

  1. Allow all burnt crackers and sparkler wires to cool down completely for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Submerge them entirely into a bucket of water overnight to neutralise any leftover black powder.
  3. Place the soaked material securely inside a sealed plastic trash bag before tossing it into your local municipal waste.
